Choosing a Nile Cruise

Cruise ship or dahabiya

Cruise ships carry 60 to 150 guests with a pool, restaurant and daily guided excursions. A dahabiya is a small sailing boat with 6 to 12 cabins, quieter and slower, and it moors at places large ships cannot reach.

Routes

Most itineraries run Luxor to Aswan (3 nights) or Aswan to Luxor (4 nights). The 4 night direction gives you more time at the Aswan end.

Cabins

Upper deck cabins have better views and less engine noise. Suites add space rather than a different experience.

What is included

Full board is normal. Drinks, tips and optional visits such as Abu Simbel or the sound and light show are usually extra. Every Kemet Tour quotation lists this line by line.
